Radio Proof Enclosure (RPE)

As a growing number of users rely on increasingly complex wireless communications technologies and devices for advanced data, voice and video applications, semiconductor vendors, device manufacturers and service providers must be able to accurately verify the functionality, performance and interoperability of wireless devices in complex network environments.
Testing wireless devices in a controlled Radio Frequency (RF) environment that is isolated from unwanted RF interference is required to accurately characterize the conformance, performance and interoperability of wireless systems. Azimuth’s RadioProof family of RF enclosures provide exceptional RF isolation of devices under test and easy operation. As a key element of the Azimuth Approach to wireless device testing, RadioProof enclosures seamlessly integrate with Azimuth’s wireless test platforms to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of device engineering as well as product quality assurance and performance benchmark testing.

Azimuth’s RadioProof enclosures provide superior isolation from 800 MHz to 6 GHz, support 4 x 4 Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) products and are ideal for accurate and reliable testing of Wi-Fi, WiMAX, 3G Cellular, Bluetooth and other wireless technologies. RadioProof enclosures and the high level of isolation that they offer provide device manufacturers, semiconductor vendors and service providers with dedicated equipment that significantly outperforms custom built internal solutions.

RadioProof enclosures combine filtered communication (Ethernet and serial) and power connections, an easy to use cover and latch design as well as active or passive cooling to enable efficient and repeatable testing of wireless devices. RadioProof™ Enclosure RPE-401L/AC

The RadioProof Enclosure RPE-401L/AC is an RF-isolation chamber that provides up to 90 dB of radiated RF isolation for oversize devices such as outdoor access points, base stations, printers, etc.. The enclosure includes filtered communications and power interfaces and a filtered fan to prevent devices from overheating during test.

The RPE-401L/AC supports multiple technologies including 802.11, Cellular, PCS, GSM 3G, DECT, Bluetooth, RFID, WiMAX and LTE and has sufficient RF connectors to support 4 x 4 Multi-Input/Multi-Output (MIMO) devices

RadioProof™ Enclosure RPE-402

The RadioProof Enclosure RPE-402 is an RF isolation chamber that houses two devices (such as cellular handsets and access points) with up to 90 dB of radiated RF isolation. The enclosure offers passive cooling and can be used for side-by-side performance, range and interoperability testing.

The RPE-402 supports multiple technologies including 802.11, Cellular, PCS, GSM 3G, DECT, Bluetooth, RFID, WiMAX and LTE and has sufficient connectors to support 4 x 4 Multi-Input/Multi-Output (MIMO) devices.
