Executive Team

Jim Iuliano has more than a decade of CEO experience in the semiconductor, life sciences, display, and optical systems industries. Prior to joining Azimuth Systems, he was an entrepreneur in residence at North Bridge Venture Partners. Previously he served as president and CEO of E Ink Corporation, a privately-held materials technology company that developed an electronic ink to create paper-like displays. Jim joined E Ink as a technology start-up, building a global presence and strategic alliances with SONY, Philips Electronics, and Toppan Printing among others. Before E Ink, he was president, director, and CEO of Molecular Devices Corp. (NASDAQ: MDCC), an analytical instrumentation company in the life science market. In this role, he completed a successful turnaround, led an oversubscribed IPO, and grew the company’s market capitalization to nearly $250 million. Jim joined Molecular Devices from the semiconductor industry where he worked at both IBM and VLSI Technology.
Jim has a B.S. from Boston College and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

Chris Gollihur has more than 15 years of high tech financial management experience in start-up and large enterprises. From 2000 until joining Azimuth, Chris was with the wireless start-up, Bluesocket, where he served as director of operations and finance. There he oversaw the company's growth into worldwide customer and market leadership, raising $32 million in venture capital financing. Prior to his tenure at Bluesocket, Chris held senior finance executive positions at Agilent Technologies, Scope Communications (acquired by Hewlett- Packard), and QuadTech.
Chris holds both an M.A. in accounting and a B.A. in finance from Bentley College.

John Griesing has more than 20 years of experience in network engineering, design, and R&D. Prior to joining Azimuth, he was a senior director at 3Com, where he led engineering operations for the company's cable data business and grew the group to a staff of 120. Also at 3Com, John was director of advanced technologies for the network adapter division, where he was responsible for 100Mbit stackable Ethernet products. Prior to 3Com, he served as general manager of engineering for Chipcom’s David Systems division and led development of 10/100Mb Ethernet products. John also managed Chipcom’s token ring engineering efforts. Earlier in his career, he held design positions at Chipcom, Wang Labs, and RCA, where he was involved with data networking technologies and products. Some of his contributions are reflected in IEEE standards and four U.S. patents.
John has an M.S. in electrical engineering/data communications from Northeastern University and a B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Connecticut.

Peter Paglia has 20 years of sales experience in the wired and wireless semiconductor industry and currently leads Azimuth's sales and business development efforts worldwide. Prior to joining Azimuth, he was at Virata, where, as director of sales, he managed a team in eastern North America as well as a South American distribution channel. Pete also developed business partnerships with other semiconductor companies who provided DSL reference designs. As Conexant's director of sales, he focused on building relationships with the company’s major DSL and wireless LAN customers. Earlier in his career, he was a worldwide account manager at National Semiconductor, handling highly strategic customer accounts.
Pete holds an M.S.E.E. from Northeastern University and a B.S.E.E. with distinction from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
